We believe female officers should have access to
vests and safety equipment that fit our bodies
properly. We believe in self defense training
and equipment. We believe the spouses of
officers are often shut out and will provide
them with a greater understanding of the
profession through a network of support and
information. We want all
women in corrections to have easy access to
information that will keep us healthy, both
physically and mentally. We believe the
high levels of suicide and divorce rates within
our profession would be reduced if correctional
officers and their spouses had greater access to
services.
The IAWIC invites you to join us on this
journey. While we believe our mission and the
task before us is serious and important, we
intend to have some fun along the way!
