Committee For Female Correctional Officers

The International Association For Women In Corrections (IAWIC) is a new non-profit organization dedicated to providing information, services, and benefits to women in corrections.  Our mission is to improve working conditions for women in corrections.  Be sure to get the word out:  Female correctional officers world-wide will finally have a strong, focused voice!

The IAWIC is in the process of organizing a Committee to help set the IAWIC agenda for female correctional officers.  We are looking for female correctional officers willing to volunteer a small amount of time to help us establish priorities. 

Here are just a few of the issues the Committee will examine: 

• Self Defense Training
• Safety vests and equipment
• Stress and Other Health Issues
• Harassment
• Discrimination
